                              Dear Sponsors and Benefactors,

First of all, I would like to say my sincere thanks to all the sponsors and benefactors! 

This year, Anh Linh Love School celebrates 30 years foundation. There are some reminiscences of the beginning. In the early 1990s, at distict 7, there were a lot of poor children had to sell lottery or collected bottles to earn money help their familly, they could not go to school. Therefore, a woman asked the Sisters of Our Lady Congregation to come here to teach these poor children to read and write.   

The Sisters borrowed abandoned pigsty to have a place for teaching them. Next year, these children were in grade 2nd and new group of children in grade 1st and so on every year. After five years studying hard, there were nearly 20 first children had completed primary school. After primary school, how was about these children’s learning? Their familly circumstances could not help them go to public school. This was a problem that the Sisters had to find the solutions. Fortunately, there were few benefactors supported them to have scholarships. However, their learning had to stop after one or two years because they had a lot of problems when they learnt in public school. That was a reason made the Sisters had got an idea: a secondary school for them. It was not easy to get permission from the government. Besides, there were lots of difficulties to have enough money to buy a land and build the school. Thanks to all Benefactors, thanks to Mrs.’Jerri’, the founder B2L, we finally had new primary school in 2008 and new secondary school in 2007. Until now, hundreds of poor children have a good education and become a good person.    .    

Most of the children have a very complicated family situation. Their parents divorced or passed away so they live with their mother and stepfather or their father and stepmother or they only live with grandmother… Their family move from the countryside to the city to find a job. They have to work hard but they receive a low salary because they are manual labors. So, to save money, they rent a cheap accommodation, a poor place or the slums and far from school. 

Living in the bad situation like that, the children lack of nutrition, lack of caring, lack of family love… Few of girls are sexually abused by their stepfather!      

Therefore, Anh Linh Love School is a place to help them change their fate through education. Over the past 30 years, many generations of students have grown up from this school. The old students got married and have a better life. 

In school year 2019-2020, there are 102 primary students from grade 1 to grade 5. The Statistic of result learning at the end of school year as follow:

The students got this result thanks to the patience of all the teachers and the efforts of the students.  

After graduating secondary school, they continue learning in public high schools and then take an exam to get into the colleges or universities. Lots of them receive scholarship to continue their learning. Some of them want to be a chef or a baker, they learn in vocatinal training school.    

The Anh Linh Love School can develop as today thanks to the support of so many kind people. You are always a source of strength to encourage us to carry out our educational mission. We can’t help the children without  your support. We tell you all our hope, all our dream, all our desire in order to you accompany with us to help the poor children have a joy in learning and a brighter  future.
