Bridges to Learning, as many such organizations, grew from a desire to give something back to the world and make a difference.  The founder/president, Jerilyn Hirsch, had these desires, but it wasn’t until a neighbor introduced her to the idea of supporting a child at Anh Linh Free School that her heart and purpose were directed to Southeast Asia.  That introduction resulted in Jerri moving to Vietnam, teaching English from 2004 to 2005, and establishing an English program at the school.
